Jeremy Renner stars in a political drama/thriller based on the true story of reporter Gary Webb who is persecuted after exposing the CIA’s involvement with the Nicaraguan “Contras”, including the conspiracy to arm them using funds from drug-trafficking in the USA.

Directed by Michael Cuesta and starring Jeremy Renner, Robert Patrick and Michael Sheen among others.

Still Alice (2014)

Already a multiple award-winner for Julianne Moore’s central performance as a middle-aged family woman who is unexpectedly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, still Alice is finally released in the UK and is the heartbreaking story of a woman and her family’s struggle to cope with the devastating effects of a currently incurable disease.

Directed by Richard Glatzer & Wash Westmoreland and starring Julianne Moore, Alec Baldwin and Kristen Stewart among others.

Suite Française (2015)

Set in the early days of the Nazi occupation of France in 1940, Michelle Williams stars as a young French villager caught between her burgeoning feelings towards a very different German officer and the hatred towards the occupiers from her family and fellow villagers.

Directed by Saul Dibb and starring Michelle Williams, Kristin Scott Thomas and Matthias Schoenaerts among others.

Sean Penn stars as a mercenary and former special forces operative, framed and on the run across the globe from governments and seedy organizations to clear his name in this “Taken”-style all-action espionage thriller.

Home (2014)

A charming fantasy animation from DreamWorks about a disastrously inept but loveable alien who befriends a spirited young girl while on the run from his species, together they undertake a global quest and learn about each other and themselves, along the way we all learn what home really means.

Directed by Tim Johnson and starring Jim Parsons, Rihanna and Steve Martin among many others.

Get  Hard (2015)

Will Ferrell stars as pampered millionaire James King convicted of hard jail time for fraud who through prejudice hires a young black man Darnell (Kevin Hart) to help him survive the prison time he will start in 1 month, but Darnell is no authority on the subject and so hilarity ensues as they try to “Get Hard” in this irreverent clash-of-cultures comedy.

Directed by Etan Cohen and starring Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart and T.I. among others.

Cinderella (2015)

Disney provides a big-budget 21st Century facelift to the classic fairytale with their first live-action version of the story of Cinderella, an ill-treated step-sister who is turned from a servant to a lady by her fairy god-mother in order to win the heart of a Prince.

Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter among many others.
