A talented but troubled inner-city kid is recruited by a high-level independent British Spy organization to stop a megalomaniacal tech-industry billionaire from bringing havoc to an unsuspecting world, a spy action/adventure/comedy from the makers of ‘Kick Ass’ and ‘Stardust’.
The most action-packed entrant in our list is an action/adventure spy epic with a dark comic heart featuring outrageous and often gruesome violence, writer/director Matthew Vaughn brings his ‘Kick-Ass’ sensibilities to the British Espionage table while dragging the established “Gentleman Spy” concept from ‘Bond’ and British 60s TV series ‘The Avengers’, shooting and stabbing into the 21st Century..
Fun, funny and endlessly entertaining, ‘Kingsman’ benefits from clever action set-pieces and sharp dialogue delivered by an impressive cast led by Colin Firth and newcomer Taron Egerton, certainly one of the better “non-serious” Spy movies in recent memory.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and Samuel L. Jackson among others.
#TriviaTuesday: A cost-cutting insect-like suit was the early design for the alien hunter in 1987's 'Predator'—unsuccessfully worn by the character's first actor Jean-Claude Van Damme—but it was ditched for a now iconic Stan Winston design at twice the price. Money well spent. pic.twitter.com/pvbTmpgUIB
#TriviaTuesday: ‘Big Kahuna Burger’ is most certainly the fictional fast food of choice in the Tarantinoverse, appearing or referenced in 'Reservoir Dogs', 'From Dusk Till Dawn', 'Death Proof', 'Four Rooms', as well as its starring turn in 1994’s 'Pulp Fiction' of course. pic.twitter.com/k3xVsbDuA6
