12 Films to Watch in 2024 (July to December)

Following our ’12 Films To Watch’ for the first half of 2024, we return to break down 12 of what we think might be some must-see films released in the UK and worldwide during the rest of the year—spreading the love out with two per month and only including films which have confirmed UK release dates.

There will be plenty more must-see releases added for the UK and beyond over the coming months so be sure to keep checking our frequently updated ‘2024 Film Calendar‘, and of course please note that thanks to the ongoing uncertainty of the global release slate, dates may be changed and releases pulled at any time.

After fleeing a notorious rural Texas massacre and heading west, young aspiring actress Maxine’s dreams of Hollywood stardom are threatened by the bloody ghosts of her past and an infamous predator rampaging the seedy streets of 1980s Los Angeles, in this third instalment of Ti West’s cult hit new series.

Directed by Ti West and starring Mia Goth, Elizabeth Debicki and Bobby Cannavale among others.

The wisecracking “merc with a mouth” returns to recruit a reluctant and legendary ornery clawed mutant from an alternate universe, as they team up to form a fantastic fast-healing duo and travel the multiverse to save the world, crossing paths with a variety of versions of familiar super heroes and villains in this latest and first Disney era instalment of the hit self-referential R-rated comic-book franchise.

Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Emma Corrin among others.
