After being taken in by the wealthy Earnshaw family in late 18th century rural Yorkshire, young orphan Heathcliff begins a long and passionate but toxic relationship with Catherine Earnshaw only for it to end when he’s mistreated and she marries another man of her status and Heathcliff flees, only to later return wealthy and vengeful looking for a revenge which will threaten multiples generations and two houses, but leave some hope for the future in this latest screen adaptation of the classic Emily Brontë novel from the director of ‘Promising Young Woman‘ and ‘Saltburn’.
