Lonely and desperate to make a life for himself, unnatural creation Frankenstein tracks down a mad scientist in 1930s Chicago to help make him a companion, re-animating a young murdered woman as the two form a monstrous bond and emancipate themselves from their society, going on the run and creating carnage on the streets of changing country as a pair of raw and intense outlaw lovebirds, in this “Bonnie and Clyde” style take on the classic Mary Shelley story from actress turned writer/director Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and starring Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale and Annette Bening among others.
