Wracked with guilt over the many victims of his outlaw past and living in isolation in the wilderness of 13th century England, an ageing Robin Hood is pulled back into his dark past by a reunion with fellow bandit Little John only to become wounded after another bout of violent retribution, anonymously nursed back to health at a priory by a local sister and becoming a guardian for his late outlaw friend’s troubled young daughter, as his past inevitably comes back to haunt him and force him to face his fate in this dark brooding modern adaptation of the 17th century ballad about the legendary figure of medieval English folklore.
