This is an extraordinary technical achievement in filmmaking and as groundbreaking as Avatar but with an ultimately more original storyline, Gravity is a nerve-wracking more sci-fact than sci-fi thriller.

Director Alfonso Cuarón brings to the screen a visual extravaganza with effects so groundbreaking they had to be invented by the Gravity Visual Effects team.

With a strong central performance by Sandra Bullock who touches on themes of abandonment and loss , Gravity is ultimately a film about life conquering adversity but dressed in a visual kaleidoscope and has deservedly swept up multiple technical and directorial awards in this 2014 season.
