End of Watch follows officers Taylor & Zavala of the LAPD as they navigate and protect the streets of South Central Los Angeles from increasingly bold and violent gangs and organised crime.

Writer-Director David Ayer (Training Day, S.W.A.T) combines traditional camerawork with over-the-shoulder and police dashboard cams to give a ultra-realistic sense of what these cops go through on a daily basis, this gives End of Watch a gritty documentary-style perspective which puts you right in the action.

With standout performances from Gyllenhaal and Peña, End of Watch is an uncompromising drama about violent crime on the streets of modern Los Angeles and often features extreme language and violence, arguably better than Training Day and easily one of the best cop thrillers of the last 15 years.
