Altogether we tend to agree with most of BAFTA’s choices this year, certainly more than we do with the Golden Globes anyway, it’s good to see that Nightcrawler was recognized in a few categories as it was easily one of the films of the year.
We don’t quite understand all the BAFTA love for The Grand Budapest Hotel with 11 nominations, by no means the best Wes Anderson piece of work but nevertheless still and as always a wonderfully original and entertaining film.
Let’s see how things play out on the night, we’ve given our picks on who we think should win but there are as always many films in 2014 that are not nominated and deserve recognition.
Let us know what you think of the BAFTA nominations and our picks.
