Golden Globe Awards 2019

Spread the love

As per tradition the cinematic year kicked off with one of the biggest award ceremonies in the industry calendar as the stars aligned in Beverly Hills on Sunday for the 76th annual Golden Globe awards, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

Along with all the red carpet glitz and glamour came the task of recognising achievements in film and TV over 2018, and this year saw another open field in the film category with biographical comedy/dramas like ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Green Book’ and ‘Vice’ as well as Alfonso Cuarón’s very personal Mexican family drama ‘Roma’ leaving the biggest mark—so we at FilmPhonic recap the night’s film nominees and winners.

As usual let’s all remember that film criticism is subjective and we all have our opinions on who should win what and why, the important thing is that the majority of the nominees at these shows deserve recognition for great work done, but no more than the many who often do not feature at all.
