taxi1A smash-hit French action/comedy directed by Gérard Pirès and written by Luc Besson; following an inept young Marseille detective who deputizes a wannabe-racer taxi driver to help him track down a skilled group of fast-moving German bank robbers. Taxi boasted some of the most impressive car chases in cinema, set to a “sick” late 90s French hip-hop soundtrack while briefly featuring the talents of an aspiring young actress named Marion Cotillard.

Directed by Gérard Pirès and starring Samy Naceri, Frédéric Diefenthal and Marion Cotillard among others.
