After the ordeal of the massacre on the “Nostromo”, lone survivor Ripley is convinced into returning to the strange and now colonized planet to help a team of bad-ass space Marines investigate why all contact has been lost, but they’re in for more trouble than anyone bargained for.
Director James Cameron made a bold and brilliant decision in not following up the groundbreaking masterpiece ‘Alien’ with more of the same, instead choosing to change the entire tone and core of the film from a tense horror/thriller into an all-action gem within the same Sci-fi context and narrative.
The result is a thoroughly entertaining Action masterpiece with memorable characters and unforgettable dialogue, as well top-notch production designs and a look that has influenced many of the Sci-fi films, fiction and video games we’ve seen over the last 30 years.
Directed by James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn and Carrie Henn among others.
#TriviaTuesday: A cost-cutting insect-like suit was the early design for the alien hunter in 1987's 'Predator'—unsuccessfully worn by the character's first actor Jean-Claude Van Damme—but it was ditched for a now iconic Stan Winston design at twice the price. Money well spent. pic.twitter.com/pvbTmpgUIB
#TriviaTuesday: ‘Big Kahuna Burger’ is most certainly the fictional fast food of choice in the Tarantinoverse, appearing or referenced in 'Reservoir Dogs', 'From Dusk Till Dawn', 'Death Proof', 'Four Rooms', as well as its starring turn in 1994’s 'Pulp Fiction' of course. pic.twitter.com/k3xVsbDuA6
