2014YIF_ArticlePic17July as usual was the month of huge summer blockbuster releases of all kinds, from the unsurprising but consistently popular Transformers franchise with Age of Extinction and Hercules with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, to more interesting fare like the latest Planet of the Apes movie Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and the much anticipated latest addition to the Marvel cinematic universe Guardians of the Galaxy.

An honorable mention must also go to the original and unique Richard Linklater drama Boyhood also released in mid-July.
